About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser with export house experience to support the merchandising team in executing export orders from inquiry to shipment. You will coordinate with internal departments and buyers to ensure on-time delivery, quality and customer satisfaction.

Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in handling buyer inquiries and preparing quotations and costings

Review purchase orders and buyer requirements; follow up on clarifications

Prepare and update the Time & Action (critical path) calendar and share it with internal teams

Coordinate sampling: proto, fit, size set, PP and TOP, and follow up on buyer approvals

Follow up on development and approval of fabrics, trims, prints, embroidery, washes and accessories

Track raw material and accessories procurement for on-time availability

Follow up with Production, QA, Stores, Planning and Logistics for smooth order execution

Support in-line and final inspections with the QA team

Keep buyers updated on order status through regular email communication

Prepare shipping documents and ensure on-time shipment

Maintain order-wise MIS in Excel (OTD, quality, costing, claims)





Support compliance requirements (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, C-TPAT, etc.)

Assist in handling claims, rejections and returns with QA

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or diploma (Fashion / Textile preferred, any discipline considered)

5–7 years of merchandising experience in a garment export house (mandatory)

Ability to join immediately or at short notice

Valuable knowledge of garment manufacturing, fabrics, trims and quality standards

Basic knowledge of export documentation and INCOTERMS

Good written and spoken English

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; merchandising software knowledge is a plus

Working Conditions

Regular coordination with multiple departments and buyers across time zones

May need to work extra hours during shipment deadlines

Regular exposure to the production floor, sample room and quality checks

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
