Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Finance Controller role based in Bengaluru.

The Assistant Finance

Controller will support the finance leadership team in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end closing activities. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting in timely and accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.



The individual will analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and provide insights to improve cost efficiency and financial performance. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating with internal stakeholders, supporting audits, strengthening internal controls, and contributing to process improvements within the finance function.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to support budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant disclosures.
- Candidates should possess solid Accounting knowledge, including general ledger, reconciliations, and understanding of accounting standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using finance and accounting tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) and strong attention to detail.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent is preferred, along with prior experience in a similar finance or controller role.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in edtech, technology, or high-growth startups, and familiarity with internal controls and audit processes, will be an added advantage.
