Role Description The Assistant Manager – Engineering Mechanical Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position supports the mechanical design team in planning, executing, and reviewing design projects, ensuring adherence to technical standards, timelines, and quality requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating design activities, preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as manufacturing, quality, and procurement), and providing technical guidance to junior team members.

The Assistant

Manager will track project progress, address design issues, support design validation and testing, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation. The role also involves preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, and supporting communication between engineering and management.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, mechanical design, and product development,



with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools and related engineering software, along with basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection.
- Effective project coordination skills, including planning, scheduling, task follow-up, and maintaining documentation to support timely delivery.
- Positive problem-solving and analytical skills to identify design issues, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing technical reports and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a team environment, providing guidance to junior engineers and supporting a culture of safety and quality.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience in mechanical design or engineering management, especially in a manufacturing or product development setting, is an advantage.
