BigBasket, a Tata Group company, is one of Indias leading online grocery and quick-commerce platforms. We are looking for a driven and analytical Category Manager / Deputy Category Manager to manage categories and brands end-to-end and drive business growth, profitability, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Category & Brand Management

- Own and manage assigned categories and brands end-to-end.
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive growth and enhance customer engagement.

Sales & Profitability

- Drive category sales and achieve profitability targets.
- Track key business metrics and take timely corrective actions to improve performance.

Marketing & Investment

- Plan and execute category marketing campaigns.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively to maximize ROI and brand visibility.

Inventory Management

- Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Minimize wastage, stock-outs, and carrying costs through effective planning.

Vendor & Brand Partner Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and brand partners.
- Negotiate margins, commercial terms,



and joint business plans to support category growth.

Pricing & Promotions

- Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market and customer insights.
- Plan and execute promotions to drive sales, conversion, and category growth.

New City Launches

- Manage category-related activities during new city launches.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with overall business objectives and timelines.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA
- 2+ years of relevant experience in FMCG Category Management.
- Experience across Food, Non-Food, Pharmacy, Beverages, or related categories is preferred.
- Solid understanding of category management, sales, pricing, promotions, and profitability.
- Based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate.
