Role Description The Assistant Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Basti. The role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.

The Assistant

Accountant will help with GST and income tax-related documentation, reconciliations, and basic compliance work under the guidance of senior team members. The position also includes preparing and organizing invoices, vouchers, and other financial records, as well as coordinating with clients to collect necessary information and resolve basic queries.



The role offers practical exposure to accounting, taxation, and compliance in a qualified firm setting.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess fundamental accounting skills, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and basic financial statement preparation.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with taxation and compliance, such as GST, income tax documentation, and statutory record-keeping.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and productivity tools, such as Tally or similar platforms, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to organize and maintain financial records systematically.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a professional team.
- A diploma or degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; prior internship or experience in an accounting firm will be an advantage.
