We are seeking an experienced

AS400 COBOL Developer with

Banking Domain

5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM i (AS400) application development and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in

COBOL, CL/CLLE, DB2/400, RPG, and AS400.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and support applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform.

- Design, code, test, and implement COBOL-based solutions.

- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

- Develop and maintain DB2/400 database objects, queries, and stored procedures.

- Perform debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.

- Handle production support issues and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.

- Participate in system integration, UAT support,



and deployment activities.

- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders.

- Prepare technical documentation and maintain coding standards.

Required Skills

- Robust experience in

COBOL/400

development.

- Hands-on experience with

AS400 (IBM iSeries)

platform.

- Proficiency in

CL/CLLE programming

.

- Experience with

DB2/400

database design and query optimization.

- Knowledge of

RPG/RPGLE is preferred.

- Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, and production support.

- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
