Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements, with a focus on banking and related financial services. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in planning and executing statutory and internal audits, conducting test checks of transactions and controls, preparing working papers and documentation, and supporting compliance reviews. The role also involves data analysis, drafting audit observations, coordinating with client teams,
and helping with report preparation and follow-up on audit queries.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring close collaboration with senior team members and adherence to professional standards and timelines.
Qualifications
- Progress towards Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g., cleared CA intermediate/group exams) and eligibility to register as an Article Assistant.
- Strong academic foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation, and corporate law.
- Ability to analyze financial data, understand banking operations, and interpret regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort working with accounting and audit-related software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and professionally.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments within set deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and willingness to learn from senior team members in a structured setting.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work on-site with colleagues and client personnel in Bengaluru.
- Prior internship or exposure to audit, banking, or financial services is an advantage but not mandatory.
