Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements, primarily in the banking and financial services domain, under the guidance of senior professionals. Day-to-day work includes assisting in statutory, internal, and concurrent audits, performing test checks, verifying documents and records, preparing working papers, and compiling audit evidence. The role involves researching and documenting findings, preparing draft reports, supporting compliance reviews, and coordinating with client teams for data collection and clarifications.
The Article
Assistant will also help in tax and regulatory assignments, maintain proper documentation, and adhere to firm methodologies and qualified standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring regular interaction with colleagues, clients, and branch offices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational accounting and auditing knowledge, including understanding of financial statements, basic tax concepts, and banking operations.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, research, and documentation skills to support audit procedures, compliance checks, and report preparation.
- Candidates should possess good written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members and to prepare clear working papers and summaries.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word, and the ability to work with accounting and audit software.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Candidates should be pursuing or have completed relevant professional studies (such as CA articleship eligibility) and demonstrate integrity and adherence to professional ethics.
- Prior internship or exposure in audit, banking, or financial services will be an added advantage, along with willingness to travel for audit assignments when required.
