Role Description The Apparel Merchandiser role at ABSJ Fashions LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. The role involves coordinating with buyers and internal teams to manage activewear and sportswear programs from sampling through bulk production, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities include reviewing tech packs, preparing costing, managing approvals for patterns, samples, fits, and PP samples, and monitoring production progress with the factory and quality teams.





The Apparel

Merchandiser will maintain explicit communication with clients, handle daily queries, track order status, and support buyer-specific packaging and shipment planning. The role also includes gathering market and product feedback, contributing to product development ideas, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, internal teams, and vendors.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to understand buyer needs, product positioning, and commercial considerations in apparel merchandising.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support product presentation, brand requirements, and market-driven merchandising decisions.
- Relevant experience in apparel merchandising, preferably in activewear, sportswear, or athleisure manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of garment production processes, costing, quality control, and timelines.
- Ability to work in office in Gurgaon, manage multiple programs, and maintain detailed records and reports.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other basic office software; experience with PLM or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
