We are looking for agriculture graduates to mobilise farmers for capacity-building and training programmes. The role involves identifying and enrolling farmers, building trust in rural communities, and ensuring strong attendance and follow-through in training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and enrol farmers, FPO members, and SHGs for training programmes in assigned villages and blocks.
- Conduct village meetings, door-to-door visits, and awareness campaigns on programme benefits.
- Coordinate with Gram Panchayats, KVKs, agriculture departments, FPOs, and local leaders for outreach and venue support.
- Collect and verify farmer data (landholding, crops, contact details, documents) and maintain accurate records in registers or mobile apps.
- Organise training logistics: venue, schedules, attendance, and material distribution.
- Support trainers during sessions and help translate technical content into local, farmer-friendly language.
- Follow up after training to track adoption of practices and gather feedback.
- Meet monthly mobilisation and attendance targets and submit daily/weekly field reports with photos and geo-tagged evidence.
Qualifications
- Essential: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture (or allied fields such as Horticulture or Agronomy).
- Experience: 1–3 years in farmer mobilisation, agri-extension, FPO work, or rural development. Freshers with robust field aptitude are welcome.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluency in the local language (mandatory), plus working Hindi/English.
- Good communication and persuasion skills with rural communities.
- Basic knowledge of crop practices, government agri schemes, and farmer welfare programmes.
- Comfortable with smartphone apps, WhatsApp, and basic data entry.
- Willingness to travel daily to villages. A two-wheeler and a valid driving licence are preferred
