InsurTech Actuary is a tech-driven boutique actuarial consultancy, founded by Anirudh Bansal (FIA, FIAI). We work on retainer with InsurTechs in 5+ countries, from pre-seed founders to scale-ups with US$100m+ revenue, and every retainer client we've signed is still with us. Much of our work is first-of-its-kind: new insurance products, innovative processes, and the models behind them.

We deliberately stay lean. Our in-house software and AI agents handle the repetitive work, so each person on the team spends their time on problems that matter.

What you'll do

- GI consulting: work directly with InsurTech founders to design new products, build and validate pricing and reserving models, and turn analysis into strategic advice.
- Employee Benefits: own delivery of Ind AS 19 / AS 15 / IAS 19 valuations (gratuity, leave) and ESOP valuations for our EB portfolio. Our automated valuation engine does the heavy lifting; you review outputs, and handle client queries.
- Building: improve our actuarial tools and AI agents using Python and modern AI coding tools (Claude Code and similar). We provide premium AI subscriptions; client data never goes into AI tools.
- Growth: support business development in GI and EB, growing into ownership of client relationships over time.

The mix will vary with client demand; GI and EB work form the core,



with building and growth responsibilities increasing over time.

What we're looking for

Must have

- Meticulous attention to detail. You check your own work before anyone else has to, and you're comfortable with a review culture where nothing goes out unchecked.
- 3+ years' experience in GI and/or EB (consulting, InsurTech or Global Capability Centre settings a plus).
- Good progress in IFoA/IAI exams (nearly qualified preferred; exceptional Fellows welcome, and we'll shape the role around you).
- Strong Excel model-building.
- Clear written and spoken communication with non-technical audience. Ability to appreciate various international and Indian accents.
- Self-directed and reliable working remotely with clients across time zones.

Nice to have (/willingness to learn quickly):

Python, Tableau/Power BI, Claude Code, product development experience.
