Pangea Travel is a luxury travel company based in Mumbai, founded in 2018. We plan private journeys, driving programmes and safaris for a discerning clientele, working with hotels, camps and specialists across the world. Every trip rests on a large number of vendor relationships, and every one of them has to be paid correctly and on time.
The role
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Executive to own our payables end to end. You will keep vendor accounts clean, payments on schedule, and the finance team's records matched to each booking.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable across domestic and international vendors
- Reconcile vendor ledgers on a regular cycle
- Record purchase entries accurately and on time
- Reconcile company credit card statements
- Match purchase bills against payment entries
- Check TDS applicability on each payment
- Follow up with vendors for pending purchase invoices
- Set payment timelines in line with booking and supplier terms
- Prepare the pending payments report
- Update vendor payment entries in Google Sheets against each booking
- Support the monthly budget and planning process
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field
- years of experience in accounts payable, ideally in travel, hospitality or a service business
- Working knowledge of TDS and GST
- Hands-on experience with [Tally / Zoho Books / accounting software used]
- Confident with Google Sheets and Excel
- Precise, organised, and comfortable managing many vendors and deadlines at once
- Explicit written communication for vendor follow-ups
