Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, in office position based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and maintenance of ledgers. The Accountant will prepare and review invoices, process vendor payments, manage accounts receivable and payable, and assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking.

The role includes preparing monthly and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will also coordinate with project and operations teams to track project costs, verify expense documentation,



and provide accurate financial data to management for decision-making.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, compliance with statutory requirements, and familiarity with Indian accounting standards and regulations.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems), MS Excel, and basic data analysis tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, cost tracking, and project-based financial monitoring, preferably in contracting or construction-related environments.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams, vendors, and external auditors.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably in electrical contracting, construction, or project-based businesses, is beneficial.
