Role Description The Accountant (Logistics) role is a full-time, in office position based in Gurugram. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities related to logistics operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate documentation of freight, warehousing, and transportation costs. The accountant will prepare and review invoices, reconcile accounts, monitor payments and receivables, and support month-end and year-end closing for logistics-related accounts.

This role also includes coordinating with logistics, operations, and procurement teams to verify billing, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.



The individual will assist in preparing cost analyses and financial reports, support audits, and contribute to improving financial processes within the logistics function.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including ledger management, reconciliations, invoicing, and knowledge of basic taxation and compliance.

- Candidates should possess familiarity with logistics or supply chain processes, such as freight cost tracking, warehouse billing, and transport documentation.

- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, and basic data analysis capabilities).

- Candidates should possess attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to identify and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple accounts, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

- Relevant academic qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field are preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.

- Prior experience in logistics accounting or in a similar role within transportation, warehousing, or supply chain environments is highly beneficial.
