About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive with 5+ years of experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations, vendor management, invoicing, payroll, ESI, and other statutory and financial activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage routine finance and accounts responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Invoicing
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and generate customer invoices on time.
- Verify bills, invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Reconcile bank, vendor, customer, and ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
Vendor Management
- Manage vendor accounts and maintain updated vendor records.
- Verify vendor invoices and ensure timely processing of payments.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, outstanding balances, and discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve accounting differences.
- Maintain proper vendor documentation and payment records.
Payroll
- Manage monthly payroll processing accurately and within defined timelines.
- Verify attendance, leave, deductions, incentives, reimbursements, and other payroll inputs.
- Calculate salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Coordinate with HR for payroll-related information and employee changes.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
ESI & Statutory Compliance
- Manage ESI-related activities , including monthly contributions and records.
- Ensure timely submission of applicable statutory payments and returns.
- Maintain employee statutory records and documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities or consultants when required.
- Assist with other statutory compliance activities such as PF, TDS, and professional tax, as applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Practical experience in vendor management, invoicing, payroll, and ESI .
- Good understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
Preferred
- Experience working with Tally / ERP / accounting software .
- Knowledge of PF, ESI, TDS, GST, and other statutory compliances .
- Experience handling payroll for mid-sized organizations.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, employees, auditors, and external consultants.
