Role Description The Academic Counselor role is a full-time, in office position based in Kochi. The counselor will guide students in selecting appropriate international study programs, institutions, and destinations aligned with their academic background and career goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, explaining admission requirements, and assisting with application documentation.

The role involves providing academic advising, career guidance, and information on courses, scholarships, and visa-related processes in coordination with other team members. The counselor will maintain accurate records, follow up with prospective students,



and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth counseling and admission experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners in making informed academic and professional choices.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, and the ability to explain complex information in an accessible manner.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising skills to help students select suitable programs and institutions based on their qualifications and aspirations.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of the Education sector, preferably with exposure to overseas higher education systems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Education, Psychology, Humanities, Business, or related field) and prior experience in academic or career counseling are highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trust with students and families are important.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, proficiency in basic computer applications, and familiarity with CRM or student management tools are advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, adhere to ethical counseling practices, and stay updated on international education trends is preferred.
