Role Description The Academic and Career Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role involves providing one-on-one and group counseling sessions to students on academic pathways, course selection, entrance exams, and career options in India and abroad. The counsellor will guide students through admissions processes, scholarship opportunities, and visa-related information by using Vidysea’s AI tools and curated resources.

Daily responsibilities include assessing student profiles, creating actionable education and career plans, conducting workshops and webinars, and maintaining accurate counseling records. The role also requires collaborating with internal teams to refine guidance content, staying current with education trends and policies, and offering empathetic,



unbiased support to students and families.

Qualifications

- Strong academic and career counseling skills, including student profiling, guidance on course and college selection, and creating structured education and career plans.
- Knowledge of admissions processes, scholarship options, and international education pathways, including basic understanding of visa and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct workshops, presentations, and clear one-on-one counseling sessions.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for research, documentation, and communication; comfort working with AI-driven guidance platforms is a plus.
- Relevant educational background in Psychology, Education, Career Counseling, or a related field; qualified certification in counseling or guidance is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic advising, career counseling, or education consulting, preferably working with school or college-age students.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to unbiased, student-centered guidance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Noida and adapt to changing student needs and education trends.
