Position: AC Technician – Operation & Maintenance

Location: PMG, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible AC Technician to handle the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair of split AC systems and HVAC systems at our facility. The candidate should have practical knowledge of air-conditioning systems and be capable of independently carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Operation & Maintenance: Manage the daily operation and maintenance of split AC units and HVAC systems.
- Preventive Care: Carry out routine and preventive maintenance of all AC/HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve AC-related electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
- Component Maintenance: Check and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, motors, thermostats, sensors, and control systems.
- Cleaning & Servicing: Perform comprehensive cleaning of filters, coils, drain lines, and other essential AC components.
- Refrigerant Management: Check refrigerant pressure and identify/repair any refrigerant leakage.
- Emergency Support: Promptly attend to breakdown calls to restore equipment operation minimizing downtime.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor AC performance continuously and report any abnormalities or potential failures to management.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment logs.
- Coordination: Liaise with facility and client representatives regarding ongoing maintenance requirements.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping in the work area.
- General Duties:



Carry out any other AC/HVAC maintenance activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong practical knowledge of Split AC operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with broader HVAC systems and basic troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, motors, compressors, and relays.
- Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and proper refrigerant charging/recovery processes.
- Proficiency in using basic electrical and HVAC service tools.
- Proven ability to identify mechanical faults and carry out necessary corrective actions independently.
- High safety awareness and disciplined work practices.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Electrical, or an equivalent field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in AC/HVAC operation and maintenance is preferred.
- Candidates with direct hands-on experience in facility/building maintenance will be given preference.

Other Requirements
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Willingness to attend to emergency/breakdown requirements outside of standard hours when critically necessary.
- Local candidates from Thiruvananthapuram or nearby areas are preferred.
