Role Description The Academia Partnership – Probono role is a remote volunteer position focused on building and nurturing strategic relationships with academic institutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying potential university and college partners, initiating outreach, and coordinating discussions to align academic goals with HackHalt’s cyber education and research initiatives. The role involves supporting the design and promotion of joint programs, workshops, and training sessions that advance cyber awareness and skills among students and faculty.





This position also requires maintaining regular communication with academic stakeholders, tracking partnership outcomes, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure that academic collaborations contribute to HackHalt’s mission and four-pillar strategy.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Partnerships and Strategic Partnerships skills to develop and manage academic collaborations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to engage with diverse academic stakeholders and present initiatives clearly.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to assess partnership opportunities, impact, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Candidates should possess basic Sales or outreach skills to pitch programs, secure participation, and encourage institutional commitment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, higher education ecosystems, or edtech collaborations is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple conversations, and follow through on commitments.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a strong interest in social impact and cyber safety are highly valued.
- Relevant academic background in business, communications, public policy, cybersecurity, or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
