Ab Initio Developer

Experience: 5–8 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 45 Days

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and support ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE graphs and transforms .
- Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from multiple source systems to target data stores, data warehouses, and data marts.
- Work with Ab Initio EME for metadata management, version control, and deployment.
- Develop reusable components including XFRs, DMLs, parameter files, and reference data structures .
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, error handling, and ETL performance tuning.
- Collaborate with business analysts and data modelers to understand requirements and develop scalable ETL solutions.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot ETL issues, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Follow coding standards, naming conventions, and data governance guidelines.




- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, ETL design documents, mappings, and operational runbooks.

Mandatory Skills
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio ETL development
- Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE, Graphs, and Transforms
- Solid Unix/Shell scripting experience
- Working knowledge of Ab Initio EME
- Strong understanding of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Integration
- Positive proficiency in SQL
- Experience working with large data volumes and performance-sensitive ETL jobs
