The role involves working closely with teachers and academic leadership to ensure effective curriculum delivery aligned with CBSE standards and the school's academic objectives. NKey Responsibilitiesn1. Curriculum Development & Academic Planning Nn Develop, review, and update Social Science curriculum, lesson plans, academic resources, and learning materials. N Ensure curriculum alignment with CBSE guidelines, NCERT frameworks, and school academic objectives. N Support the developmentof annual academic plans, unit plans, assessments, and enrichment activities. N Review curriculum progression across grades and ensure appropriate learning outcomes. N Identify gaps in curriculum delivery and recommend suitable academic interventions. Nn2. Subject Matter Expertise Nn Provide expert guidance to Social Science teachers on subject content, pedagogy, and classroom practices. N Ensure conceptual accuracy and age-appropriate delivery of History, Geography, Civics/Political Science, Economics and related areas. N Stay updated with developments in the subject, curriculum frameworks, educational practices, and relevant academic resources. N Encourage interdisciplinary and real-world connections within Social Science learning. Nn3. Teacher Support& Mentoring Nn Mentor and guide Social Science teachers in effective teaching methodologies. N Conduct demonstration classes, model lessons, workshops, and subject-specific training sessions. N Observe classroom practices and provide constructive academic feedback. N Support teachers in addressing learning gaps and improving student engagement.



N Facilitate sharing of best practices and innovative teaching strategies among faculty. Nn4. Assessment & Academic Quality Nn Develop and review question papers, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessment resources. N Ensure assessments are aligned with learning outcomes and appropriate cognitive levels. N Analyse student performance and identify areas requiring academic intervention. N Support teachers in developing remedial and enrichment strategies. N Review assessment standards and maintain consistency across grades. Nn5. Teaching & Learning Resources Nn Develop high-quality teaching-learning resources, including presentations, worksheets, source-based materials, case studies, projects, maps, timelines, and research activities. N Promote inquiry-based, experiential, and activity-oriented learning. N Integrate technology and appropriate digital resources into Social Science teaching. N Ensure resources encourage critical thinking, research skills, interpretation, analysis, and application. Nn6. Academic Monitoring Nn Monitor the implementation of the Social Science curriculum across assigned grades. N Review lesson plans, academic progress, assessments, and student learning outcomes. N Track syllabus completion and support teachers in maintaining academic timelines. N Participate in academicreviews and provide subject-specific inputs to academic leadership. Nn7. Student Enrichment Nn Promote subject-related activities such as debates, discussions, quizzes, exhibitions, model-making, research projects, field studies, and presentations. N Encourage students to develop critical thinking, communication, research, and analytical skills.



N Support participation in inter-school competitions, academic events, and subject-related initiatives. Nn8. Collaboration &School; Initiatives Nn Work collaboratively with Academic Heads, Coordinators, teachers, and other SMEs. N Contribute to curriculum review meetings and academic planning. N Support school-wide academic initiatives and professional development programmes. N Participate in parent interactions or academic meetings when required. N Undertake other academic responsibilities assigned by the school leadership. NnRequired Qualifications Nn Master's degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics / Social Science or a related discipline. N B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred. N Robust knowledge of CBSE and NCERT curriculum. N Relevant teaching/academic experience in a reputed school. N Experience in curriculum development, teacher mentoring, assessment design, or academic leadership will be an advantage. NnExperiencen N Minimum 5–8 years of relevant teaching/academic experience, preferably with CBSE schools. N Experience working as aSubject Lead, Academic Coordinator, SME, Curriculum Specialist, or similar academic role will be preferred.
