Key Competencies

Technical & Commercial:

- Mechanical processes and parts: Machining, Fabrication, Casting, Molding, Heat & Surface Treatment
- Should-costing for Machining, Casting, Fabrication and Molding processes and parts
- GD&T; interpretation (mandatory)
- Vendor identification, selection and development
- Sourcing strategy and RFQ / costing process
- Working knowledge of electrical & electronic commodity sourcing (added advantage)
- Quality systems: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120

Behavioural & Coordination

Key Responsibilities

- Apply working knowledge of mechanical processes and parts (Machining, Fabrication, Casting, Molding, Heat & Surface Treatment) to manage these commodities end to end.
- Perform should-costing for Machining, Casting, Fabrication and Molding processes and parts.
- Source, obtain and validate competitive supplier quotes for Machining, Casting, Fabrication and Molding parts within aggressive timelines.
- Apply GD&T; knowledge in the review of drawings and specifications.
- Review customer specifications, drawings and product requirements for new products.
- Send and review supplier quotes for new projects to ensure on-time completion of product costing.
- Review BOM and costing, and negotiate prices for bidding projects.
- Conduct supplier meetings and visits.
- Proactively identify suppliers to address single-source risk, drive cost reduction, and replace underperforming suppliers.
- Develop, establish and maintain robust business relationships with suppliers.
- Lead and coordinate a team as required.
