Key Responsibilities

- Automation Project Implementation
- Lead automation projects from concept, design, build, trials, commissioning, handover, and stabilization.
- Identify manufacturing automation opportunities that reduce manual intervention, improve safety, and

increase productivity.

- Prepare project plans, technical specifications, timelines, risk assessments, and implementation trackers.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, process engineering, tooling, and procurement teams

during execution.

- Design and development
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in design of SPMs, Automation systems with 3D and ACAD experience.

Knowledge in PLC, HMI & SCADA Development will be an advantage / Optional

Should be able to handle a System integrator to perform the following . Hands-on experience will be an advantage.

- Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, or

equivalent platforms.

- Develop operator-friendly HMI and SCADA screens for machine control, diagnostics, alarms, and production

monitoring.

- Optimize existing controls to improve cycle time, machine uptime, and process reliability.

Knowledge and awareness in Machine & System Integration will be an advantage / Optional

- Integrate sensors, actuators, servo drives, VFDs, motion systems, vision systems, and industrial networking

devices.

- Implement machine interlocks, guarding, safety circuits, emergency stop systems, and process control

improvements.





- Interface automation equipment with MES, ERP, data collection systems, and production dashboards where

required.

- Knowledge and awareness in Robotics, Cobots & Vision Systems
- Support robotic and cobot applications for welding, machine tending, inspection, material handling, or

assembly processes.

- Develop and optimize machine vision inspection systems for quality automation and defect detection.
- Conduct system validation, performance trials, and operator training before handover.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive productivity, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, and quality improvement projects through automation.
- Support lean manufacturing, poka-yoke, line balancing, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation-related issues.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare electrical drawings, control narratives, IO lists, SOPs, operation manuals, troubleshooting guides, and

FAT/SAT reports.

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, machine safety, and internal manufacturing standards.
- Maintain project documentation, change records, backups, and lessons learned for future reuse.

Required Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or

a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in machine commissioning, troubleshooting, automation project execution,



and production support.

Technical Skills

Mandatory Skills:

- Experience & Sound knowledge in identification and feasibility workout of Automation projects.
- Hands ON experience in developing concept, design, build, trials, commissioning, handover, and stabilization of Automation equipment and systems
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in design of SPMs, Automation systems (3D and ACAD experience preferred)
- Experience in Methods Engineering / Process planning / Production Engineering will be preferred.
