About the Engagement
We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Systems Integration Specialist / Technical Consultant to support a client on a technical discovery and integration consulting assignment.
The client operates a hospitality technology environment involving Oracle OPERA PMS 5.x / 5.6, Amadeus iHotelier / TravelClick, hotel reservation and distribution systems, and related hospitality data platforms.
The initial engagement is focused on understanding the existing ecosystem, documenting integration and data flows, evaluating available interfaces and extraction mechanisms, and defining a protected and scalable approach for connecting hospitality data to an external CRM/reporting platform.
This is initially a technical discovery and consulting engagement, with the potential for implementation and ongoing support.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an individual consultant, technical specialist, or experienced technology company with hands-on experience implementing or integrating hotel PMS, CRS, reservation, distribution, and hospitality data systems.
Strong practical experience with Oracle OPERA PMS and Amadeus iHotelier / TravelClick is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate should be able to work with both business stakeholders and technical teams and translate hospitality-system knowledge into a clear integration and implementation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reservation Flow Analysis
Understand and document the complete reservation lifecycle across the hospitality ecosystem, including:
- Amadeus iHotelier / CRS
- Oracle OPERA PMS
- Reservation/distribution channels
- Hotel booking channels
- Interfaces between systems
- Modification and cancellation flows
- Check-in / check-out related data
- No-show and cancellation scenarios
Document how data moves from the initial reservation through the PMS and downstream systems.
2. Oracle OPERA Technical Discovery
Identify and evaluate available Oracle OPERA capabilities, including:
- OPERA reports
- OPERA interfaces
- OPERA database/data-access options where applicable
- OXI
- OWS
- OPERA APIs/services where applicable
- Other supported integration mechanisms
- Scheduled exports and reporting mechanisms
- Existing hotel/vendor interfaces
Determine which options are appropriate for read-only data extraction, integration, automation, and reporting.
3. Hospitality Data Mapping
Create a detailed mapping of important hospitality data elements, including:
- Reservation ID / confirmation number
- PMS reservation identifiers
- CRS reservation identifiers
- Guest/customer information
- Guest profiles
- Contact information
- Booking source/channel
- Property/hotel
- Room type

- Number of rooms
- Room nights
- Adults/children
- Reservation status
- Cancellation information
- No-show information
- Revenue
- Taxes/fees where available
- Payment-related information where appropriate
- Market/source/channel information
The consultant should identify how these fields are represented across systems and how they can be reliably reconciled.
4. Integration & Data Extraction Assessment
Evaluate safe and supported methods for extracting hospitality data into an external:
- CRM
- Data warehouse
- Reporting platform
- Analytics platform
- Customer intelligence platform
The assessment should cover:
- API-based integration
- OPERA interfaces
- OXI / OWS
- Reports
- Database access where supported
- Scheduled exports
- Batch integration
- Event-based integration where available
- Middleware/integration platforms
- Vendor-supported integration mechanisms
The recommendation should clearly distinguish between supported integration approaches and approaches that may create operational or vendor-support risks.
5. Automation Assessment
Identify what can realistically be automated, for example:
- Reservation synchronization
- New reservation ingestion
- Reservation modifications
- Cancellation updates
- Guest profile synchronization
- Room-night calculations
- Revenue aggregation
- CRM updates
- Reporting data pipelines
- Data reconciliation
- Scheduled data extraction
- Monitoring and error handling
Also identify activities that require:
- Hotel/vendor configuration
- Oracle/OPERA support
- Amadeus/TravelClick support
- Third-party integration support
- Manual operational processes
6. Technical Architecture

- Integration architecture
- API/interface strategy
- Data synchronization approach
- Data model
- Master-data strategy
- Reservation identity mapping
- Error handling
- Retry mechanisms
- Reconciliation
- Audit logging
- Security
- Authentication
