Job Description

Investment Origination & Business Development

- Originate private credit, structured debt, and special situations investment opportunities across sectors.
- Build and manage relationships with promoters, corporates, NBFCs, banks, investment bankers, private equity sponsors, and financial intermediaries to generate high-quality deal flow.
- Identify proprietary investment opportunities through market intelligence, industry networks, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive business development initiatives to expand the investment pipeline and support fund deployment objectives. Credit Evaluation & Investment Assessment
- Lead end-to-end credit underwriting, including financial statement analysis, business assessment, cash flow evaluation, industry research, and risk analysis.
- Review financial models, valuation analyses, and investment assumptions to assess risk-adjusted returns.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda, credit approval notes, and Investment Committee (IC) recommendations.
- Recommend optimal investment structures, covenants, and security packages with appropriate risk mitigation. Transaction Execution & Structuring
- Lead end-to-end transaction execution from deal evaluation and term sheet negotiation through financial close.




- Structure customized debt financing solutions and negotiate commercial terms, documentation, covenants, and security arrangements.
- Oversee financial, legal, commercial, and technical due diligence, ensuring timely transaction closure in coordination with internal teams and external advisors. Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio performance through periodic financial reviews, covenant monitoring, and borrower interactions.
- Identify portfolio risks and recommend appropriate corrective, restructuring, or refinancing strategies where required.
- Present portfolio performance updates and investment insights to senior management and the Investment Committee. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Mentor and guide Associates and Senior Associates on credit underwriting, financial modelling, and transaction execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, co-investors, lenders, advisors, and other key stakeholders.
- Support fundraising activities through investor presentations, fund marketing materials, and due diligence responses.
- Collaborate with investment, risk, legal, compliance, finance, and portfolio management teams to ensure effective execution and governance.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

- Experience: 10-15 Years
- Location: Chennai
- Academic Background: MBA / CA / CFA, preferably with an Engineering degree
- Preferred Background: Private Credit Fund / NBFC - Structured
