Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
- Monitor daily backup jobs, identify failures, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful backup completion.
- Diagnose and resolve backup-related issues involving connectivity, agents, snapshots, storage, performance, and repositories.
- Perform file-level, application-level, virtual machine, system-level, and bare-metal restores.
- Configure and manage backup policies, schedules, retention periods, encryption, replication, and backup repositories.
- Manage backup servers, agents, proxies, storage repositories, and associated infrastructure.
- Support backup and recovery operations for physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud environments.
- Conduct regular backup health checks, backup verification, recovery testing, and performance monitoring.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP), including RPO/RTO requirements and off-site backup operations.
- Maintain backup documentation, operational reports, incident logs, and recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, customers, vendors, and OEM support teams to resolve technical issues and meet service-level agreements (SLAs).

Required Technical Skills

1. Enterprise Backup & Recovery Solutions

- Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise backup platforms:
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- Acronis
- Veritas Backup Exec / NetBackup
- Commvault
- Dell EMC Data Protection solutions
- Other enterprise backup and data protection solutions

2. Virtualization & Server Administration

- Good knowledge of VMware vSphere / ESXi and Hyper-V.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux Server administration.
- Understanding of Active Directory and virtual machine backup and recovery.

3. Storage & Networking

- Knowledge of SAN/NAS, RAID, storage provisioning, SMB/NFS, and iSCSI.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.




- Ability to troubleshoot backup connectivity, storage, and repository-related issues.

4. Backup & Disaster Recovery

- Strong understanding of full, incremental, differential, and synthetic full backups.
- Knowledge of backup encryption, replication, retention policies, and recovery verification.
- Familiarity with cloud backup, off-site repositories, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Understanding of RPO, RTO, backup testing, and business continuity requirements.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
- Relevant technical certifications in backup, virtualization, or infrastructure management will be an added advantage.

Experience & Candidate Requirements

- 2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in enterprise backup, data protection, and recovery operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Windows Server, virtualization, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period preferred.
- Candidates based in Mumbai preferred.

- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
- Acronis Certified Engineer
- Veritas or Commvault certifications
- Microsoft or VMware certifications
- Other relevant backup and data protection certifications

Pay: ₹328,043.04 - ₹600,000.00 per year
