JOB DESCRIPTION – STORE PERSON / STOREKEEPER

Position: Store Person / Storekeeper
Department: Store / Warehouse
Location: Site / Factory
Reporting To: Store In-Charge / Project Manager

Job Purpose

To manage the receipt, storage, issue, and proper record-keeping of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables while ensuring accurate inventory and smooth material availability for site/factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, specification, and condition against purchase orders/challans.
- Properly arrange and store materials in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate stock records, registers, and inventory reports.
- Issue materials to departments/site personnel against approved material requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the Store In-Charge about low-stock or shortage items.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile differences.
- Maintain proper identification, tagging, and labeling of materials.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of steel, fabrication materials, tools, consumables, and other items.
- Maintain records of material inward, outward, transfer, and return.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Fabrication, and Site teams for material requirements.




- Keep the store area clean, organized, and secure.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports as required.
- Ensure proper documentation of damaged, rejected, excess, or returned materials.
- Follow company safety procedures and store management practices.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of store and inventory management.
- Good knowledge of material identification and stock handling.
- Basic computer knowledge; MS Excel/ERP knowledge will be an advantage.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate stock records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: 10th / 12th / ITI or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–5 years in Store/Warehouse operations, preferably in construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial projects.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
