Job Summary
Electrical maintenance technicians maintain, repair, install, and upgrade electrical and mechanical equipment, components, tools, and machinery. Electrical maintenance technicians work independently most of the time, but report to their supervisors.People in this position generally work daytime weekday hours, though there will be times when electrical maintenance technicians are required to be on call and work night and weekend hours. Maintenance Electricians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues with electrical equipment. They use diagnostic tools to find the root cause of an issue, and then they use power hand tools to fix the issue. Maintenance Electricians have an expert knowledge of electricity, as well as an aptitude for working with their hands.
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain Electrical and Mechanical Systems
Electrical maintenance technicians must perform regular maintenance on existing systems and design maintenance schedules for all systems to ensure they remain in proper working order.
Troubleshoot
Electrical maintenance technicians troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems.
Perform Tests




Routine and on-the-spot tests of all mechanical and electrical systems and circuits must be performed regularly by electrical maintenance technicians.
Follow Safety Regulations
Electrical maintenance technicians are responsible for following and maintaining all Safety & Health standards and regulations with everything they do.
Write Cost Analysis Reports
Electrical maintenance technicians write cost analysis reports for maintaining, upgrading, and repairing machinery and electrical systems.
Track Inventory
All tools and parts used must be tracked by electrical maintenance technicians, and current items must be ordered as needed with proper approval from unit head.
Key Skills
Attention to detail , communication skills, Knowledge of schematics and blueprints
Required Experience and Qualifications

- B.E (EEE) , Diploma or equivalent
- 1-5 years ' experience in electrical maintenance or associated work
- Relevant electrician Certificate
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills
