Aesthetic Doctor – Roles & Responsibilities MBBS Doctor

- Conduct patient consultations and medical history assessment.
- Assess skin, hair and aesthetic concerns and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Evaluate patients for suitability and contraindications before procedures.
- Perform aesthetic procedures permitted by applicable regulations and professional scope.
- Explain procedures, expected results, risks, aftercare and obtain informed consent.
- Monitor patients during and after treatment.
- Provide follow-up care and document treatment outcomes.
- Identify complications and arrange appropriate medical management or specialist referral.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment photographs.
- Follow clinic hygiene, infection-control and patient-safety protocols.

BDS / Dental Aesthetic Doctor

- Conduct consultations for dental and facial aesthetic concerns within the permitted scope of practice.
- Assess oral, dental and facial aesthetic requirements.
- Perform dental aesthetic procedures according to qualification and applicable regulations.
- Explain treatment plans, risks, benefits and expected outcomes.
- Maintain treatment records, consent documentation and follow-up notes.
- Coordinate with dermatologists, plastic surgeons or other specialists when required.
- Ensure appropriate infection-control and patient-safety standards.

BHMS Doctor

- Conduct patient consultations and document medical history.
- Provide services that fall within the doctor's legally permitted professional scope.
- Assess general wellness and aesthetic-related concerns.
- Educate patients regarding lifestyle, skincare and wellness where appropriately qualified.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.




- Identify cases requiring conventional medical/specialist evaluation and facilitate referral.
- Follow applicable qualified regulations, clinic protocols and patient-safety standards.

BNYS Doctor

- Conduct wellness and lifestyle consultations.
- Assess patients for naturopathy- and yoga-based wellness programs within professional scope.
- Develop individualized wellness, nutrition, yoga and lifestyle plans where appropriately qualified.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain treatment records.
- Provide patient education regarding healthy lifestyle practices.
- Coordinate with other medical professionals when medical evaluation or specialist care is required.
- Maintain hygiene, safety and documentation standards.

Common Aesthetic Clinic Responsibilities

- Provide professional and patient-centered consultation.
- Understand the patient's expectations and explain realistic outcomes.
- Obtain informed consent before treatment.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate electronic/physical medical records.
- Follow standard operating procedures and infection-control guidelines.
- Participate in patient follow-ups and satisfaction monitoring.
- Maintain knowledge of approved products, equipment and treatment protocols.
- Coordinate with nursing, front-office and other clinical staff.
- Refer patients when a condition or procedure is outside the doctor's professional scope.
- Maintain ethical standards and comply with applicable medical/professional regulations.

Note: In India, the exact procedures that each qualification can perform should be determined by the relevant professional council, applicable state regulations, and the doctor's additional recognized training. A job description should not assume that all four qualifications have the same scope for aesthetic procedures.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
