The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, design documentation, calculations, layouts and project deliverables in accordance with applicable IMCA guidance, ASME codes/standards, project specifications and client requirements.

The role will involve both design engineering and technical documentation, including piping/system design, mechanical component design, 2D/3D modelling and preparation of engineering deliverables.

1. Mechanical Design & Engineering

- Develop mechanical designs for subsea, offshore and associated mechanical systems.
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary and detailed mechanical designs based on project requirements.
- Develop 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and detail drawings.
- Perform design reviews and incorporate engineering/client comments.
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, installation, operation and maintenance.
- Select suitable materials, components, fasteners, fittings and mechanical hardware based on design requirements.
- Support design verification, engineering calculations and technical reviews.

2. Piping System Design

- Develop and review piping layouts for mechanical/process systems.
- Prepare piping GA drawings, piping layouts, spool drawings and isometric drawings.
- Interpret and develop designs from P&IDs;, PFDs, equipment drawings, line lists and design specifications.
- Design piping systems in accordance with applicable ASME B31.3 requirements and project specifications.
- Apply applicable ASME standards for piping components, dimensions, materials, pressure ratings and fabrication requirements.
- Consider design pressure, design temperature, material selection,



corrosion allowance, supports, accessibility and maintainability.
- Coordinate piping routing with mechanical equipment, structural elements, instrumentation and other disciplines.
- Assist with piping flexibility/stress analysis and support design where required.
- Prepare and maintain piping-related engineering documentation.

3. ASME BPE / Special Piping Requirements

- Working knowledge of ASME BPE requirements and their application to applicable piping/system designs.
- Understand requirements relating to hygienic/high-purity piping systems where applicable.
- Apply requirements related to:
- Piping and tubing
- Fittings and components
- Welded joints
- Surface finish
- Material traceability
- Fabrication and inspection documentation
- Drainability and cleanability
- Review fabrication drawings and piping documentation for compliance with applicable project requirements.

4. Engineering Documentation & IMCA Requirements

- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in accordance with applicable IMCA guidance and project/client requirements.
- Develop engineering document packages, design dossiers and technical files.
- Prepare and maintain:
- General Arrangement drawings
- Piping drawings and isometrics
- Mechanical drawings
- Assembly drawings
- Fabrication drawings
- Design calculations
- Equipment/component datasheets
- Material specifications
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Parts lists
- Technical specifications
- Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), where applicable
- Manufacturing/fabrication documentation
- Design verification records
- Revision records
- As-built documentation
- Maintain proper document numbering, revision control, drawing registers and transmittal documentation.
- Ensure engineering documents are traceable and properly controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support preparation of technical documentation required for offshore/subsea projects, inspection, fabrication and client approval.
