- Operate CNC and conventional press brake machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and bending specifications.
- Set up machines, including selecting and installing the correct punches, dies, and tooling.
- Adjust machine settings such as bend angle, back gauge, tonnage, and bend sequence.
- Measure finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges.
- Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
- Identify and correct dimensional or bending defects.
- Handle sheet metal and components safely to prevent damage and injury.
- Maintain proper production records and follow work schedules.
- Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of press brake machine operation and sheet-metal bending.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
- Knowledge of CNC controls and basic machine setup.
- Valuable measurement and inspection skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or Sheet Metal Fabricator is advantageous.
- Experience with CNC press brake machines is preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
