About the Role

Roarr Media is looking for a creative and experienced Cinematographer to join our team in T. Nagar, Chennai.

The ideal candidate should have a good eye for visuals, strong technical knowledge of cameras and lighting, and the ability to turn creative ideas into high-quality video content. You will be working on a variety of projects including brand videos, social media content, corporate videos, advertisements, and other digital productions.

Responsibilities

- Plan and execute video shoots based on creative briefs and scripts.
- Operate professional cameras, lenses, and other filmmaking equipment.
- Set up and manage lighting for different types of shoots.
- Work closely with directors, creative teams, and editors to achieve the desired visual style.
- Handle camera framing, composition, exposure, focus, and camera movement.
- Assist with pre-production planning, including locations, equipment, and shot requirements.
- Maintain and handle camera and lighting equipment responsibly.
- Ensure high-quality footage and consistency across projects.
- Adapt to different shooting locations, styles, and production requirements.
- Stay updated with new cinematography techniques, equipment,



and visual trends.

Requirements

- 3–7 years of professional experience as a Cinematographer or Videographer.
- Solid knowledge of cameras, lenses, lighting, and filmmaking equipment.
- Good understanding of composition, framing, exposure, and visual storytelling.
- Experience in commercial, branded, corporate, social media, or digital content production.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a creative team.
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Portfolio or showreel is required.

Good to Have

- Experience with Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, RED, ARRI, or similar cameras.
- Knowledge of gimbals, drones, sliders, and other filmmaking equipment.
- Basic knowledge of video editing or color grading.
- Experience creating content specifically for Instagram, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
