About the Role
RKS Mental Health & Wellness Center is looking for a School Counsellor & Assistant Psychologist to join our team in a dual-role position involving both school-based counselling and clinical/mental health support.
The role provides an opportunity to work with children, adolescents, students, parents and other clients, while gaining practical exposure to counselling, psychological support, documentation, psychoeducation and school mental-health initiatives.
Fresh graduates with a relevant MSc in Psychology who are looking to begin their professional journey are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
School Counselling & Student Well-being
- Provide individual and group counselling support to students.
- Support students with emotional, behavioural, social and academic concerns.
- Conduct age-appropriate life-skills, mental-health and well-being sessions.
- Identify concerns that may require further psychological support and escalate appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school management and parents while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Participate in school-based mental-health awareness and psychoeducation initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate counselling records and documentation.
Clinic & Psychological Support
- Assist with counselling and psychological support services at RKS Mental Health & Wellness Center.
- Support individual and group sessions under appropriate professional supervision.
- Assist with psychoeducation and mental-health awareness programmes.
- Support client documentation, case notes, reports and other skilled records.
- Participate in case discussions, training and supervision sessions.
- Assist with educational materials, presentations, workshops and awareness programmes.
Required Qualifications
- MSc in Psychology with a specialization in:
- Clinical Psychology
- Counselling Psychology
- Child Psychology
- Applied Psychology
- Child & Adolescent Psychology
- or another relevant Psychology specialization.
- Strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.
