Job Description – Primary Hindi Teacher (CBSE)
Position: Primary Hindi Teacher

Reports To: Primary Coordinator / Head of School
Job Purpose:
To teach Hindi to primary-grade students using age-appropriate, engaging, and activity-based teaching methods, while developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and appreciation of Hindi language and literature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective Hindi lessons as per the CBSE curriculum and school academic plan.
- Teach Hindi language, grammar, reading, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, and basic literature.
- Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Use stories, poems, rhymes, role plays, activities, worksheets, games, and audio-visual resources to make learning engaging.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching-learning materials, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Assess students regularly through classwork, homework, oral activities, tests, projects, and other appropriate methods.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic progress and provide timely feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support and differentiated instruction.
- Encourage students to use correct Hindi pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and sentence formation.
- Promote interest in Hindi language, literature, culture, and creative expression.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Communicate students’ progress and learning needs to parents when required.
- Participate in school assemblies, celebrations,
Hindi-related competitions, cultural programmes, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and the Primary Coordinator in academic planning and student development.
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, child-safety requirements, and professional standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, student portfolios, and assessment records.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as a subject, preferably with B.Ed./D.El.Ed. or an equivalent teacher-training qualification.
- Knowledge of the CBSE primary curriculum and competency-based learning.
- CTET qualification may be preferred/required as applicable to the school and recruitment rules.
- Valuable command of Hindi and English.

Experience:
Preferably 1–3 years of experience teaching Hindi at the primary level in a CBSE or similar school; freshers with the required qualifications may also be considered.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
