Key Responsibilities

- Operate VMC machines efficiently and safely for production of precision components.
- Perform machine setting, including tool setting, work offset, tool offset, fixture setting, and job alignment.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Prepare and modify programs as per component requirements.
- Develop/edit programs using relevant controls such as Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens / Haas, as applicable.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, and machining parameters.
- Perform first-piece inspection and ensure components meet drawing specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, and other inspection equipment.
- Make necessary tool/wear offsets and minor program corrections during production.
- Monitor machine performance, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot common machining,



tooling, setting, and programming issues.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring quality and minimizing rejection/rework.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, work instructions, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Maintain proper production and machine-related records.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Tool Room, and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, fixtures, gauges, and finished components.
