Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Voice / Unified Communications Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise VoIP and telephony systems. The role involves designing, supporting, and troubleshooting voice infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, optimal call quality,
and seamless PSTN integration.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise VoIP and Unified Communications systems.
- Troubleshoot call quality issues including latency, jitter, packet loss, and call drops.
- Manage and support platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya, and Microsoft Teams Voice.
- Configure and maintain SIP trunks, PSTN integrations, voice gateways, and SBCs.
- Support cloud voice solutions including Zoom Phone and RingCentral in hybrid environments.
- Ensure proper network configuration for voice traffic, including QoS, VLANs, and routing.
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams for UC performance optimization.
- Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and vendor escalation for voice systems. Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Experience in enterprise VoIP/telephony environments.
- Robust knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP/SRTP, and MGCP protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager, Avaya systems, and Microsoft Teams Voice.
- Experience with SBCs (AudioCodes, Ribbon, Oracle SBC) and PSTN integrations.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN networking, QoS, VLANs, and IP routing for voice systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Voice / Unified Communications or enterprise VoIP environments.
- Strong experience with platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya systems, or Microsoft Teams Voice.
- Solid understanding of VoIP protocols including SIP, H.323, RTP/SRTP, and MGCP.
