Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Job Summary

Responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards, inspecting incoming materials and finished products, identifying defects, and ensuring products meet customer and engineering requirements. The role involves coordinating with production and engineering teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and finished products.
- Check products against engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, and gauges.
- Identify and analyze quality defects, non-conformities, and process deviations.
- Raise and follow up on NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with production and design teams to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor and improve process quality and product consistency.
- Verify raw materials and components against purchase specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality procedures, work instructions, and standards.
- Assist with internal and external quality audits.




- Maintain calibration records for inspection and measuring equipment.
- Prepare quality reports and communicate issues to management.
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Valuable understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of 7 QC tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, 8D, and CAPA.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in mechanical manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or assembly.
- Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and PPAP.
- Experience handling customer and supplier quality issues.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks/AutoCAD and ability to interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Familiarity with ERP/QMS software.
