Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop machine covers, guards, enclosures, panels and sheet metal components.
- Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, flat patterns and fabrication drawings.
- Robust knowledge of sheet metal bending, laser cutting, CNC punching and welding.
- Handle bend allowance, K-factor, tolerances and material selection.
- Ensure proper fitment, clearance, accessibility and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Fabrication teams for design implementation.
- Prepare BOMs and engineering documentation and manage drawing revisions.
- Identify and resolve design and fabrication-related issues.

Required Expertise

- Machine covers and industrial enclosures
- Sheet metal fabrication and machine guarding
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor
- GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation
- DFM and cost-effective design
