About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Security Engineer Intern to join our technical team.

The intern will get hands-on exposure to Microsoft 365, firewall, endpoint security, network security, and cybersecurity solutions while working on real client environments under the guidance of senior engineers.

This role is suitable for candidates who are interested in building a career in Cybersecurity, Network Security, Cloud Security, and IT Infrastructure.

Key ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft 365 & Cloud Security

- Assist in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- Work with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) users, groups, MFA, and Conditional Access.
- Assist with Microsoft Intune device management and security policies.
- Support Microsoft Defender configuration and monitoring.
- Assist with Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365-related issues.
- Learn and assist with Microsoft 365 security and compliance configurations.

Firewall & Network Security

- Assist senior engineers with firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Get hands-on exposure to FortiGate, SonicWall, Check Point, or similar firewalls.
- Assist with:
- Firewall policies
- NAT
- VPN
- SSL VPN
- IPsec VPN
- Web filtering
- Application control
- IPS/IDS
- Monitor firewall logs and assist in identifying network/security issues.
- Learn basic network troubleshooting using TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing,



and VLAN concepts.

Endpoint Security

- Assist with deployment and management of endpoint security solutions.
- Gain practical experience with Bitdefender, Sophos, SentinelOne, Kaspersky, Microsoft Defender, or similar solutions.
- Assist in endpoint agent installation and troubleshooting.
- Assist with endpoint security policies, ransomware protection, application control, and device control.
- Perform basic endpoint health checks and security remediation.

Cybersecurity Operations

- Monitor security alerts from endpoint, firewall, and Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Assist in investigating security alerts and incidents.
- Collect logs and information for troubleshooting.
- Escalate security incidents to senior engineers when required.
- Assist with security assessments, POCs, implementations, and client projects.
- Maintain technical documentation and implementation records.

Client Support & Projects

- Assist senior engineers during client implementations and technical support.
- Participate in security product demos and POCs.
- Support cybersecurity deployments and migrations.
- Communicate with clients under the guidance of senior team members.




- Prepare basic technical reports and documentation.
- Follow project timelines and internal security procedures.

Required Knowledge

Candidates should have basic knowledge of:

- Windows operating systems
- Networking fundamentals
- TCP/IP
- DNS and DHCP
- Firewalls
- VPN concepts
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory / Entra ID
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Antivirus / Endpoint Security
- Basic troubleshooting

Good to Have

- Microsoft 365 / Azure knowledge
- Intune knowledge
- FortiGate or SonicWall knowledge
- Basic knowledge of EDR solutions
- CCNA / Security+ certification or currently pursuing
- Microsoft certification or currently pursuing
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity tools and concepts

Candidate Profile

- Fresher
- Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Robust interest in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a technical team.
- Willingness to work on multiple client environments and projects.
