We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Incharge to manage the overall functioning of the hospital store, ensuring effective inventory control, timely availability of materials, proper documentation and compliance with hospital policies and applicable NABH 6th Edition requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital store, ensuring the timely availability of materials across all departments.
- Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and distribution of hospital supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock registers, GRNs, issue slips, and other store-related documentation.
- Monitor stock levels, minimum and maximum stock limits, reorder levels, and material consumption.
- Ensure proper implementation and effective control of expiry, damage, and obsolete stock.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department, Finance Department, vendors, and user departments for timely procurement and supply.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, identification, and segregation of materials.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory and prepare periodic reports.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and compliance with applicable NABH 6th Edition standards and hospital policies.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety,
and security of the store and ensure materials are stored under appropriate conditions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on stock position, consumption, shortages, and inventory movement to management.
- Supervise store personnel and ensure adherence to established procedures and departmental discipline.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of hospital store operations and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and hospital inventory / ERP software.
- Good coordination, communication, and team management skills.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and stock reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage inventory efficiently and prevent stock-outs and unnecessary accumulation.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates with prior experience in a hospital or multispeciality healthcare facility will be preferred.
- Practical knowledge of hospital consumables, medical supplies, inventory control, and NABH documentation is essential.
- Candidates should be organised, accountable, and capable of independently managing overall store operations.
