Job Summary

Responsible for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support for CNC machines, VMC machines, laser cutting machines, CNC press brakes/bending machines, compressors, and other plant electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, laser cutting, and CNC bending machines.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control-related faults in CNC/VMC machines.
- Diagnose and rectify problems in:
- Servo motors and servo drives
- Spindle motors and spindle drives
- VFDs and soft starters
- PLC systems
- Sensors, proximity switches, limit switches, and encoders
- Contactors, relays, MCB/MCCB, overload relays
- Control transformers and SMPS
- Machine control panels and operator panels
- Troubleshoot laser cutting machine electrical/control systems, including machine interlocks, sensors, drives, cooling-system controls, and associated electrical circuits.
- Attend electrical breakdowns in CNC press brakes/bending machines and troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical control circuits.
- Read and understand electrical circuit diagrams, machine wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Use multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, and other electrical testing instruments for fault diagnosis.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per machine-wise maintenance schedules.
- Inspect electrical panels, cables, terminals, cooling fans, earthing, motors, and control components.
- Check machine alarms and fault codes and coordinate with OEM/service engineers when required.
- Maintain electrical spare-parts inventory and identify critical spares.




- Support machine installation, commissioning, shifting, and electrical modifications.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, PM checklists, and machine history.
- Analyze repeated breakdowns and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate with production and mechanical maintenance teams to reduce machine downtime.
- Ensure proper electrical safety, LOTO, PPE, and secure working practices.
- Support 5S, energy-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience with CNC and VMC machine electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of PLC, HMI, servo drives, spindle drives, VFDs, and sensors.
- Knowledge of CNC machine control systems and machine interfaces.
- Basic knowledge of laser cutting machine electrical systems.
- Experience in CNC bending/press brake electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Knowledge of motors, MCC/PCC panels, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
- Knowledge of 3-phase power distribution and industrial earthing.
- Good fault-finding and root-cause-analysis skills.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in CNC/VMC/laser/bending machine maintenance will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
