Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Bending Setter to operate and set CNC Press Brake machines for sheet metal component manufacturing. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, perform machine/tool setup, and ensure accurate production as per quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Set and operate CNC Press Brake / Hydraulic Press Brake machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and bending specifications.
- Select and install the correct punches, dies, and bending tools.
- Set machine parameters including bending angle, back gauge, pressure, and stroke.
- Load and adjust CNC bending programs as required.
- Perform first-piece inspection and make necessary corrections.
- Ensure accurate bending angles and dimensions as per drawings.
- Use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Angle Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Calculate or understand bend allowance, bend deduction, and K-factor.
- Identify and correct bending defects such as incorrect angle, deformation, cracks, and dimensional variation.
- Maintain production targets while minimizing rejection and rework.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
- Maintain machine, tooling,



and workplace cleanliness.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain production and inspection records.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in CNC Press Brake setting and operation.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal bending processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC controls and basic program editing.
- Knowledge of tooling selection and machine setup.
- Good understanding of measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic bending and dimensional issues.
- Good attention to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work in shifts.

Qualification

- ITI – Fitter / Machinist / Turner / Sheet Metal preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in CNC bending/Press Brake setting preferred.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates who can independently handle:

Machine Setup → Tool Selection → Program Setting → First-Piece Inspection → Production → Quality Checking

will be preferred.

Salary

₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience and skill level.
