Position Overview:

As an e Learning, multimedia, and localization vendor manager, your role would involve overseeing and managing the relationships with vendors who provide e Learning content development, multimedia production, and localization services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruitment and Selection: Experience in recruiting, selecting, and managing a wide range of qualified resources is crucial. In addition to translators, proofreaders, and editors, you would be responsible for sourcing and managing various other specialized roles such as subject matter experts, instructional designers (IDs), graphic designers, transcriptions, interpreters, voice-over artists, and more. This involves evaluating vendor capabilities, conducting pre-qualification tests, and assessing their suitability for specific projects.
- Vendor Rate Negotiation and Management: Proficiency in negotiating vendor rates and managing pricing agreements. This includes understanding market rates, cost structures, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Documentation and Workflow Management: Ability to document vendor agreements, workflows, and processes to ensure clear communication and consistency in vendor management. This includes creating and maintaining documentation related to vendor selection, contracts, and performance tracking.
- Vendor Performance Tracking and Reporting: Experience in monitoring and evaluating vendor performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and generating reports. This helps in assessing vendor quality,



adherence to deadlines, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Project Resource Support: Collaborating with project management teams to ensure appropriate resourcing of projects. This involves understanding project requirements, aligning resources from vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Vendor List Maintenance: Managing and updating client-specific approved vendor lists based on performance evaluations, quality assessments, and business requirements.
- Vendor Database Management: Maintain an up-to-date vendor database that includes comprehensive information about each vendor, such as contact details, areas of expertise, availability, rates, and performance history. Regularly review and update the vendor database to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good relationships with vendors based on trust, effective communication, and conflict resolution skills. This includes proactive engagement, regular communication, and fostering a collaborative partnership.
- Problem-solving Skills: Being proactive in identifying and solving problems related to vendor management, such as quality issues, delivery delays, or resource constraints.



This requires a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task, meet tight deadlines; effective time management.
- Vendor Feedback and Ratings: Solicit feedback from team and clients regarding their experience working with the approved vendors. Consider incorporating client ratings or feedback mechanisms to gather insights and continuously improve the vendor list.
- A visionary Vendor Manager anticipates market trends, identifies emerging talent pools, and continuously evolves vendor strategies to align with organizational goals. They act as a bridge between internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless collaboration, innovation, and efficiency.

Qualification and Expectation:

- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Translation, Localization, or Business Administration is typically required. Having a master's degree in a related field can be an advantage.
- A robust understanding of the internationalization and localization process is essential. This includes knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in localization and translation.
- Should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in vendor management within the e Learning, multimedia, and localization industry. This includes a proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality deliverables.

Required Language:

- English – higher advanced/fit for negotiation
- Knowledge of other languages is an advantage

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
