Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tester to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of software applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on testing expertise, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing across multiple platforms and applications. Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools; work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and recommend preventive measures.



Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best testing practices and standards. Ensure compliance with quality standards, testing methodologies, and organizational policies. Prepare and present test summary reports, metrics, and quality dashboards to stakeholders.

Skill Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., STLC, SDLC, Agile/Scrum). Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, or similar). Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail). Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI). Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and backend testing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements

Experience in a DevOps/CI-CD setting (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI). Exposure to Observability/Monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics). ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing. Prior experience working with Ford or similar large-scale enterprise environments is a plus.
