Placement OfficerJob Summary
The Placement Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with companies and recruiters, coordinating campus recruitment activities, and supporting students in securing suitable employment opportunities. The role involves managing the complete placement process, from employer outreach and student preparation to interview coordination, selection, and post-placement follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with companies, recruiters, HR professionals, and industry partners.
- Identify and invite suitable companies to participate in campus recruitment and placement activities.
- Coordinate the end-to-end campus placement process, including company registration, job descriptions, student applications, tests, interviews, and final selections.
- Communicate recruitment opportunities, eligibility criteria, job profiles, and selection processes to students.
- Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, career fairs, recruitment events, and employer interaction sessions.
- Coordinate with employers regarding interview schedules, assessments, venues, online interviews, and other recruitment requirements.
- Maintain an updated database of students, recruiters, job opportunities, placement records, and selected candidates.
- Assist students with resume preparation, interview skills, group discussions, aptitude tests, communication skills, and professional etiquette.
- Conduct or coordinate pre-placement training and career-readiness programs.
- Provide students with information about career opportunities,
industry expectations, job roles, and recruitment trends.
- Track student participation, applications, interview outcomes, offers, and joining status.
- Prepare regular placement reports, MIS reports, and performance updates for management.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication with students and recruiters.
- Build partnerships with new organizations to expand placement opportunities across different sectors and job functions.
- Coordinate with academic departments, faculty members, career services, and management to support placement activities.
- Address student and employer queries and resolve placement-related issues promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling student and employer information.
- Support alumni engagement and leverage alumni networks for career and placement opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, recruitment practices, emerging job roles, and employability requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or qualification in HR, Management, Career Counselling, or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in placement coordination, recruitment, HR, career services, or the education sector.

Experience
Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience in campus placements, recruitment, HR, career services, or a similar role. Experience in managing corporate relationships and campus recruitment drives is preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
