Job Description: Education Counsellor / Study Abroad Counsellor

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, Mass Communication, or a related field preferred.

1–3 years of relevant experience in Education Counselling, Study Abroad Counselling, Overseas Education, Immigration Counselling, or a related field.

Candidates with experience in student counselling and international education will be preferred.

Freshers with strong communication and convincing skills may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students regarding study abroad programs, universities, courses, admissions, and career opportunities.

Understand students’ academic backgrounds, career goals, preferences, and budgets to suggest suitable study options.

Guide students through the university selection, application, admission, documentation, and visa process.

Handle student and parent enquiries through calls, meetings, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.

Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into applications and admissions.

Maintain regular communication with students throughout their application journey.

Provide accurate information regarding course eligibility, university requirements, documentation, and visa procedures.

Maintain proper records of leads, counselling sessions, applications, and follow-ups.





Coordinate with universities, internal teams, and other stakeholders whenever required.

Achieve assigned counselling, application, and conversion targets.

Stay updated with changes in international education, admission requirements, and visa processes.

Preferred Destinations

Candidates should have knowledge of one or more of the following study destinations:

UK | Germany | Australia | Canada | USA | Ireland | Europe

Knowledge of multiple international study destinations will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication, counselling, and convincing skills.

Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with students and parents.

Good knowledge of Study Abroad / Overseas Education processes.

Understanding of international university admissions and student visa procedures.

Strong follow-up and lead conversion abilities.

Good English communication skills.

Confident, target-oriented, and professional personality.

Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Comfortable working in an in-office environment.

Pay Scale

₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month

(Based on experience, skills, destination knowledge, and relevant counselling experience.)
