Designation: Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. The role involves maintaining machine availability, managing spare parts, coordinating with vendors, handling new machine installations, and maintaining complete machine maintenance records.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities for machines, equipment, and plant utilities as per the defined schedule.
- Attend and resolve machine breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Identify required spare parts and maintain an updated spare parts list for machines and equipment.
- Prepare and raise material/spare part indents in ERP as per maintenance requirements.
- Carry out plant maintenance activities to ensure smooth and safe operation of the facility.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for machine breakdowns, technical support, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate and support new machine and equipment installation, including installation, commissioning, and trial activities.
- Prepare and maintain Machine History Cards with details of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, spare parts replaced, and other relevant maintenance activities.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and coordinate corrective actions to improve machine reliability and availability.




- Maintain proper records of PM schedules, breakdown reports, spare consumption, maintenance activities, and machine history.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments to plan maintenance activities with minimum impact on production.
- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures, SOPs, and company standards.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance practices.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Positive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC and machine shop equipment will be preferred.
- Knowledge of spare parts identification, inventory requirements, and maintenance documentation.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems for creating maintenance/spare part indents.
- Good vendor coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain machine history and maintenance records.
- Good planning, coordination, and time-management skills.

Educational Qualification

BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience

3–7 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, machine maintenance, CNC/VMC maintenance, or plant maintenance will be preferred.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
