About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Patent Associate with 5–6 years of experience in patent drafting, patent prosecution, and intellectual property research. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Electronics & Communication Engineering or AI/ML, along with the ability to understand complex inventions and translate them into high-quality patent documents.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct prior-art searches using patent and non-patent literature databases.
- Analyze inventions in electronics, communication systems, AI/ML, and related technologies.
- Draft and review patent specifications, claims, abstracts, and related patent documents.
- Prepare patentability, novelty, and inventive-step analyses.
- Support patent prosecution activities, including responses to examination reports and office actions.
- Assist in preparing claim charts, infringement analyses, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) reports.
- Review patent applications for technical accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Coordinate with inventors, clients, and patent attorneys to understand inventions and resolve technical queries.
- Monitor patent prosecution timelines and maintain accurate records.
- Stay updated on developments in patent laws, procedures, and emerging technologies.

Required Technical Expertise

- Electronics & Communication: Embedded systems, wireless communication,



signal processing, IoT, VLSI, semiconductor technology, or related areas.
- AI/ML: Machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, neural networks, or AI-based systems.
- Ability to interpret technical papers, research publications, patent documents, and invention disclosures.
- Familiarity with patent databases such as Google Patents, Espacenet, WIPO PATENTSCOPE, and USPTO.

Required Qualifications

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, AI/ML, or a related discipline.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in patent drafting, patent research, or patent prosecution.
- Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of patent terminology and claim construction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with US, EP, PCT, and Indian patent applications.
- Exposure to patent examination reports, office actions, and prosecution strategy.
- Experience in AI/ML patent drafting and patentability analysis.
- Knowledge of patent analytics and intellectual property management tools.
- Patent Agent qualification would be an added advantage.
