Key Responsibilities

- Operate lathe/conventional/CNC turning machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, grooving, chamfering, and related machining operations.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, inserts, chucks, and fixtures.
- Set machine parameters such as RPM, feed, depth of cut, and tool offsets as applicable.
- Inspect finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet required dimensional and quality standards.
- Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and machining defects and report them to the supervisor.
- Maintain production output according to the assigned production plan and target.
- Carry out basic machine cleaning, lubrication,



and routine maintenance activities.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around the machine and follow 5S practices.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, PPE requirements, and factory rules.
- Minimize material wastage, rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
- Maintain production and inspection records as required.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Production teams whenever required.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: ITI – Turner / Machinist or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/machining setting
