Trainer – Business Correspondent (BFSI)
1. Role Summary
The Business Correspondent (BFSI) Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and practical training aligned with the approved curriculum and industry standards. The role focuses on equipping learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to work as Business Correspondents by covering financial inclusion, banking operations, digital financial services, customer relationship management, and regulatory compliance. The trainer will also support assessments, certification, learner engagement, and placement readiness while ensuring quality training outcomes.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Training Delivery & Classroom Management
- - Deliver theory and practical sessions as per the approved curriculum, session plans, and training schedule.
- Create an interactive and learner-centric classroom environment using participatory training methodologies.
- Ensure effective classroom management, learner engagement, and discipline throughout the training period.
B. Technical Training & Skill Development
- - Train learners on financial inclusion, banking products and services, Business Correspondent operations, account opening procedures, deposits, withdrawals, remittances, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS), Micro ATMs, digital payment systems, insurance, pension schemes, loan facilitation, customer service, KYC norms, and financial literacy.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, case studies, simulations, and role plays to strengthen industry readiness.
- Provide remedial coaching and revision sessions to support learner progress.
C. Assessments & Learner Progress
- - Conduct periodic assessments, assignments, practical evaluations, and knowledge checks to monitor learner performance.
- Maintain learner attendance, assessment records, and training documentation.
- Prepare learners for Sector Skill Council assessments and certification.
D.
Placement Readiness & Industry Engagement
- - Prepare learners for interviews by strengthening workplace behaviour, communication, customer handling, and professional ethics.
- Coordinate with the Placement Officer for employer interactions, guest lectures, mock interviews, and placement activities.
- Provide regular feedback on learner performance and employability readiness.
E. Reporting & Compliance
- - Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, assessment reports, and training documentation.
- Submit timely progress reports and MIS as required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, project guidelines, banking regulations, and quality standards.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- - Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A degree or certification in Banking, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field will be preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, Business Correspondent operations, BFSI training, or skill development programs.
- Experience in NSDC/SSC-aligned training or CSR-funded skilling projects will be an added advantage.
4. Skills & Competencies
- - Solid knowledge of banking operations, financial inclusion, digital financial services, and Business Correspondent functions.
- Good understanding of the NSDC ecosystem, NSQF framework, Qualification Packs (QPs), National Occupational Standards (NOS), and competency-based training and assessment methodologies.
- Excellent classroom facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and learner engagement skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, digital banking platforms, and training documentation.
- Strong assessment, reporting, and learner performance tracking skills.
5. Employment Details
- - Position Type: Full-time
- Reporting To: Centre Head
- Location: Skilling & Livelihood Centre
- Travel: Occasional travel for industry interactions, assessments, placement activities, and training programs, as required.
